They&#8217;re all so good, it seemed well-worth sharing a few of the links:<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.lareviewofbooks.org\/chinablog\/istanbul-shanghai-wars-two-sides-coin\/\">comparative review essay from LARB <\/a>about Istanbul and Shanghai, which prompted me to add <em>Midnight at the Pera Palace<\/em> to my reading list.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/boom.lareviewofbooks.org\/end-camping\/\">Boom article about camping<\/a> (note: the vintage photos are almost as good as the writing).<\/p>\n<p>This NYTimes article about <a href=\"http:\/\/opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com\/2014\/10\/18\/why-doctors-need-stories\/?_php=true&#038;_type=blogs&#038;emc=edit_th_20141019&#038;nl=todaysheadlines&#038;nlid=56952449&#038;_r=0\">why doctors still use stories (or case studies)<\/a> in addition to data.
