Pesto is a favorite treat around here&#8211;yum!<\/p>\n<p>My other favorite recipe with basil is John&#8217;s <b>Basil Coulis served on Almond Blancmange<\/b>.  It is one of the many very perfect recipes from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FChocolate-Zucchini-Adventures-Parisian-Kitchen%2Fdp%2F0767923839%2Fsr%3D8-1%2Fqid%3D1162803493%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dbooks&#038;tag=pilgrimgirl-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325\">Chocolate &amp; Zucchini<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=pilgrimgirl-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>.  Seriously, I am not one to gush about cookbooks.  But if you haven&#8217;t tried this one, you are missing out.  It is so tasty and fun and _everything_ we&#8217;ve tried has been wonderful and  fairly fresh and simple.<\/p>\n<p>Just ask those who&#8217;ve tried John&#8217;s apricot compote (another of Clothilde&#8217;s recipes from C&#038;Z).  <strike>And yes, it <i>is<\/i> better than sex.<\/strike><\/p>\n<p>And, no, it <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">is not<\/span> better than sex except when someone is using hyperbole to let their husband know that they think his cooking is the very best kind of foreplay.
