At times like these I want to yell from the rooftops just how wonderful my kids are, but words can&#8217;t really even contain the awesomeness of these kidlings.  So how about a few pictures?<\/p>\n<p>When she was about a year old, the kids went with John to Hogle Zoo and had some photobooth fun (she had such big brown eyes and was curious about everything!):<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/5164808014\/\" title=\"the kids with Dad, Hogle Zoo, 1997 by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1395\/5164808014_cacbdb22b3.jpg\" width=\"116\" height=\"500\" alt=\"the kids with Dad, Hogle Zoo, 1997\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even as a toddler, she loved to play dress-up.  Back then that usually meant dresses (and usually they were purple&#8211;this is an exception to that rule):<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/5164807810\/\" title=\"Like a Bag Lady by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4126\/5164807810_3b753b05ed.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Like a Bag Lady\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Catgirl on a fancy dress-up day in kindergarten.  With her very best friend (they still keep in touch online even though they&#8217;ve been at different schools since first grade)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/2666239984\/\" title=\"catgirl with best friend by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3144\/2666239984_68c9a68824.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"catgirl with best friend\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Catgirl has quite a sweet tooth, and her favorites have always been berries:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/5164808242\/\" title=\"Strawberries! by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4152\/5164808242_70a595952c.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Strawberries!\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She loves the ocean and the beach.  When she was small we would spend hours just digging around in the sand.
