{"id":2326,"date":"2010-12-14T18:00:16","date_gmt":"2010-12-15T02:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/janaremy.com\/?p=2326"},"modified":"2010-12-14T18:00:16","modified_gmt":"2010-12-15T02:00:16","slug":"sundays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.janaremy.com\/pilgrimsteps\/2010\/12\/14\/sundays\/","title":{"rendered":"Sundays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sundays are becoming more and more special to me, because they&#8217;re the day I&#8217;m with the kids.\u00a0 This Sunday we spent the morning at the beach:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/5261274059\/\" title=\"just the three of us by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5166\/5261274059_f76cc44f52.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" alt=\"just the three of us\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And played in the waves:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/5261273897\/\" title=\"IMG_0913 by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5005\/5261273897_c8dc4bfded.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_0913\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then we had a few hours relaxing at our home and went to see an animated 3-D flick:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pilgrimgirl\/5261274647\/\" title=\"IMG_0929 by pilgrimgirl, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5250\/5261274647_9342e4ffe8.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_0929\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Leaving the kids this time around was one of the hardest things I&#8217;ve ever done.  I wanted desperately for things to go back to the way they were&#8211;before we had to take turns and before each time I had with them meant that I would have to say good-bye (again).  Knowing that no amount of fun that I have with them during &#8220;my time&#8221; can compensate for the fact that I can&#8217;t have them all the time anymore&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It must be a normal thing to hit this emotional wall where you just want everything to be as it was.  I can remember back when I was going through my cancer treatments when I would close my eyes and try to wish away all of the ways my life had changed.  But no amount of denial ever made it so.  I understand that.
