because there can’t be a path for war and a path for peace
Watch this on your coffee break today. Then find a local rally for Darfur this Sunday and “make some noise.”

Thanks, Jana. When the African Union troops pull out, they will take with them the only (thin) buffer between the refugee camps and their annihilation. If U.N. peace-keepers don’t step in . . .
I wore my “never again” button to school today. My 8th graders have moved on, but the current 7’s & 8’s knew about the situtation because of last year’s activism. One girl looked at my butten and said, “I haven’t seen it on the news for months — has it been solved yet?” When I said, “No, it’s actually getting worse,” she replied: “That doesn’t make sense. Then why aren’t people doing more about it?”
Big rally in Central Park on Sunday. Smaller ones all over the country.
