I just launched a re-design of The Exponent blog, which included moving the site off of wordpress.com and onto a hosted server. The blog is actually still just a wee bit buggy, but be patient with me–I’m learning a lot, making mistakes, and figuring things out as I go along. 🙂
As I wrote a few days ago, I’m continuing to enjoy my association with the fine Mormon-feminist women that I know from The Exponent & ExponentII. I feel so fortunate to count them each as friends and sisters.
Who is your host? I've learned so much having Etsy Stalker self hosted, and while sometimes the coding makes me want to claw my eyeballs out, I love the satisfied feeling afterwards.
I went with Bluehost, because they seemed eager to support wordpress sites & they have a fairly user-friendly control panel interface.
With only one exception (that happened last night and nearly had me in tears), their support has been wonderful. I wish their documentation were a tad bit easier to find/search, but they're patient with me when I have to call because I can't figure something out on my own.
